I was fortunate enough to be a beta reader of this piece. This short story is an incredibly enchanting tale. I'm not the type of person who usually reads paranormal romance, but this captures the reader and ensnares you in the world of the Holler. Anxiously awaiting the next books in this series!!
A battle between two forces, struggle for power over what will and what's meant to be. Moroc won't stop, "Let the game begin". This was, and is going to be an amazing read for people. I found it fascinating. Completely drawn in by the characters, and the bond Moroc felt for the woman. My first legend/mythical read, and I loved it.
The Blanket A little longer story would been more of a read. I liked it even though paranormal not a fan of. Very nice to save the children injured in the storm, too bad the mother was to far gone to be saved.
While this story is not needed to be introduced to the characters or the world of McAllen, it DOES open a lot of doors and make you want to read more about the world!I was able to buy a paperback copy of this and think it is amazing! I read this after I got the first book because usually I don't bother with short stories or novellas, but this is worth it! I think that any book of Mrs. Jameson's is a book I'll read.
This teaser gives you just enough to draw you into the mythology of The Tribe novels and the writing style of new author Harper L. Jameson. You'll definitely want to pick up a copy of The Spirit after reading this short story. Jameson is weaving her own blanket in this world of Native American mythology, and you won't want to miss a single, shimmering thread.
