Anjasa is taking control of her life.*fist pump* Slowly but hey, give the girl some credit:P I mean she has a hot ass vampire on one hand, the boy toy whose life she saved on the other and well, her new erotic interest, a sssssexy man Lusciussss who curls her toes and has the rest of her. (Can I have him?!!!*swoons*) Sorry I still haven't recovered from the scenes between Anjasa and Luscius!!! Dare I say what "gifts" this man has?Naw, you guys gotta read it for yourself. This series is getting more intense with its mystery but it is never lacking in eroticism. Anjasa will keep you wanting more with her new adventures that are more dangerous and hotter every time!~She now owns the brothel that she worked at.~Jaral her sexy vampire lover whose drinking her blood that is now causing Anjasa to crave her vampire lover more than she is comfortable with but, turns her on! What's a girl to do? ~A new elf, Aeulin,(Yes, he's hawt like hot sauce :P) shows up looking for work at the brothel.~Anjasa meets Luscius(This man is talented! That's all I'm saying) who gives her a warning that bad things will happen if she continues to be in the company of Jaral.(Did I mention Luscius is wearing a leather harness and low slung leather pants?) She doesn't heed his warning and leaves it at that.~ She is basically having the best sex of her life with this "other" being(Luscius) that she has never been with before in her long life...("best sex of her life" is saying something!!) But when she finds herself, bound and blindfolded all hell breaks loose. Thanks so much to the author for sending this along with the first book in the series. I was the very lucky winner on Goodreads! Anyone who loves hot scenes and the paranormal will definitely enjoy this author!!

You don't have to read the first book to get all of this book, but they are both amazing.Anjasa now owns the brothel that she worked at. She has Loren to believe he is her saving grace to all of this and he still knows he owes her his life. For this he is correct. Jaral is running everything during the night and watching over Anjasa. A new elf, Aeulin, shows up looking for work at the brothel and Anjasa takes him in. On the same night, Anjasa meets Luscius who gives her a warning that bad things will happen if she continues to be in the company of Jaral. She doesn't take his warning and leave it at that. Soon after Jaral comes back to ask Anjasa to dinner even if it is to just mend his wounded heart. She leaves with him. Naturally, all hell breaks loss at the brothel and Anjasa is none the wiser. She is basically having the best sex of her life with this thing that she has never been with before. But when she finds herself blindfolded and bound, she realizes something is wrong.Lives are lost, she almost losses what is most important to her and she also has a person in her mix that she doesn't want to be there.I can't wait to see what the next book has in store for us.

Book provided by author in exchange for honest review. It took me a while to get into this story, but I kept at it and I'm glad I did. I still really don't feel a connection with Anjasa; there are references to her past that, if there are other books with her as a character, I know nothing about them, so it's hard to have a good basis to know what the hell happened to her in her past that led her to where she is currently (ya know, how did she become a sex slave, whore, assassin? Just the minor details). But this is still an entertaining story. This one has a lot more action and intrigue than The Vixen Torn, along with plenty of hot sex. The ending kind of threw me off because it doesn't read like an ending to a book, so it's a good setup for the next book in the series, too bad we don't know when that book will come out.

I loved this book! I fell in love with Anj in the 1st one, Vixen Torn. She is an original, thats for sure! I love her strength and her zest for life. It is great to finally see a heroine that isn't squeaky clean, so sick of the same tired character. Our sultry elf is a very dirty girl and we love her for it! The men aren't bad either!

<*Warning may be Spoilers*>The title coupled with Anjasa's uh predilections, along with the last line of this book, allude to a phoenix ... very clever those Keeps.I loved that our heroine, Anjasa, is not ashamed of her nature. Anjasa makes no apologies for her actions for none are needed. Except once, and her apology was given graciously. I wish to see Jaral and Anjasa's relationship stay in tact (view spoiler)[ as they seem to be more to each other then mere carnality. Carnality is definitely there, in my opinion they shared the most impassioned scenes in the book. Not taking away from the rest of the sex. As those scenes too can easily be described as vivacious, vigorous, and enthralling among a slew of other very steamy words.(hide spoiler)] I do hope the next book continues with Anjasa's re-discovering of herself. I also crave for the Keep's to find a way to integrate Luscius, (view spoiler)[ his magic, along with his heart and cocks, into Jaral and Anjasa's existing relationship(hide spoiler)] with out disrupting it to greatly. This is a very good read, while it can stand alone, I would suggest that one reads “The Vixen Torn” aka Torn and Seduced first. It will enable one to more fully appreciate the growth and development of Anjasa. She is somewhat of an enigma for me. As soon as I think I have figured her out, she reacts in a way that leaves me even more intrigued. A fact that is enhanced by the knowledge of the predicaments/trials that came before. It is full of excitement and a bit of mystery the pace is very quick, curiously this doesn't take away from anything, only adds to it. With all the action, sex, magic, and mystery I still remember to care for secondary characters like Iridessa. I have a suspicion that a few of them will appear in the next book. Needless to say I want more. I am excited to meet what this city has that isdarkerthen Jaral. I am anxious to see more of Aeulin. Obviously can't wait for the next life altering scenario Anjasa finds herself. Oh and we mustn't forget all the glorious sex! (view spoiler)[ I feel a little contrary when I state this, because I love that Anjasawasa whore and a sex slave. It truly helps to see where she is coming from when she makes precarious decisions. I love that she found Jaral I think they are perfect together (I secretly hope her being an elf will exempt her from becoming a husk or that Luscius was exaggerating) I am totally looking for a HEA for those two. That being said, I find I want more than a whore for Aeulin.(hide spoiler)] Snobby I know. /shrug["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Content with completing her previous tasks, Anjasa is reaping the fruits of her labors. Granted, they're not quite what she expected them to be, but she's content with the outcome of her excursions, nonetheless. She now has a reputable, sort of, establishment to call her own, as well as means to live her life comfortably. Her benefactor has promised her that she'll have anything her heart desires. In her mind, it can't get anything better than that. When unexpected discord makes its way toward her, Anjasa isn't sure as to what to make of the situation. She knows that there are those who disagree with vampires and anything of the Supernatural ilk. It's folks like those that will do whatever is possible to lay unholy creatures to rest. Sadly, she's been pulled into the midst of this ungodly war. One she's not sure she'll win when the time comes.Determined to hold her own in the wake of the unexpected, Anjasa promises herself that she'll do whatever her benefactor needs of her. She has to. It's the only way that she'll survive what's coming. Unfortunately, her baser desires have other ideas, and she finds herself straying from the path she knows she should walk. She can't help herself, however. When the body and heart is wanting, their lure is hard to ignore. Most especially when promises of fulfillment hover in the close distance. It's then she realizes that following orders and doing what she deems proper are truly forces to be reckoned with.Another good read in this series, The Vixen Arises gives us a more in-depth glimpse as to what make Anjasa tick. Granted, the choices she sometimes makes aren't the right ones, but it's amusing to see her use her wits to get herself out of tough scrapes. I now what wonder what the authors have in store for her next. Will she ultimately achieve her every goal? Only time will tell!

If I'm honest I would award this book 3½ stars, however seeing as Amazon and Goodreads do not give the option of ½ stars, I've decided to round up my rating. In this book, the Elven Anjasa is now the owner and Madam of the Brothel once owned by Zarach, whom we meet in the previous book. Anjasa is trying to juggle the day to day running of the club and spend time with her Vampire lover. But a mysterious stranger warns her that she is in great danger should she continue such a relationship with the vampire. Anjasa once again must decide who it is she can trust. Once again this book is scorching hot and once again it appears Anjasa has very little morals when it comes to a monogamous relationships, but like the previous book, this is no hearts and flowers love story and as she isn't human I can overlook her promiscuity. I had one main concern with this book and that was with the character Luscious. I have no idea what he is, other than describing in detail, his very distinguishable features. There were also a few more characters introduced in this book and also some, who were mentioned in the previous book, featured more in this story. If you are looking for an emotional rollercoaster boy meets girl kind of a story, I would say this book isn't for you, but if you are looking for a Hot, highly sexual fantasy story then I would definitely recommend.

I received this book from the author and Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rocks. The Vixen Arises is the second book after The Torn Vixen but it can easily be read as a stand alone novel. Anjasa is getting her life back together. She owns a brothel and she's still seeing Loren and manipulating him. Her vampire lover, Jarel is trying to fix the damage Zarach has done. One night Anjasa receives a cryptic warning from a stranger about something dangerous about to go down. Things descend into chaos and Anjasa begins to realize what she really wants in her life.I enjoyed this book much better than the previous one. There was more action and more of a solid storyline. I enjoyed the peeks into Jarel's character and the relationship between him and Anjasa. I also enjoyed the secondary characters like Aeulin and Iridessa. In the end, there were more questions then answers and I'm not sure if there will be a next book or where it will lead.I wish there would have been a little more to the story and have the main character be devoted to just one guy instead of sleeping with different ones. This book is for mature audiences. I would recommend this to someone looking for a short paranormal read with some erotic sex throughout.I give this book four fangs.

I actually really liked this novel. I liked how it had a nice flow to it, the transitions were smooth and the plot moved along nicely, if not a little too quickly.Despite a comment or two saying how much they love Anajasa, I actually didn't like her all that much. I mean, sure, she was a pretty cool character and I liked that she had a sense of dominance/fierceness that most other characters lacked, but... I just felt that she was too empty. A hollow character. To be honest, I loved Luscius. I felt like... I don't know, he was a more 'developed' character? More.. enigmatic? Maybe that's what I found most interesting. And don't forget about the night he spent with Anajasa ;)REGARDLESS- The book was still great, the characters were enjoyable, and I really liked the setting.Only downside, in my opinion, was that it was too short. There was definitely room for more description and depth.Definitely looking forward to the sequel.

2019-04-24 00:06 and steamy....a lead female character playing a role of "madam". Now how often do you see that. I made more connection with Anjasa on this book than the previous one. This is one of the few book when i read the last sentence without knowing that the book was ended. Eagerly waiting for the next book to know about Anajasa's past. “An assassin, Luscius. Only elvish assassins use such birds.”J.E. & M. Keep. The Vixen Arises (Kindle Location 1768). Now we talking. There is more to Anjasa than sex loving lusty vixen.

I received this book in exchange of an honest review and I loved it!!! I am not really a fan of paranormal, but this book is so well written, with such a creative story of paranormal creatures (elves, reptilians, vampires...) hot as hell and thrilling that is enough to make you addicted! Anjasa keeps us entertained with new adventures more dangerous and hotter every time! Keeps getting better and better, can't wait to see what happens next!!!!

This book is very well written but it ends with a cliffhanger and quite a few unanswered questions and I have no idea when the next book in the series is due out. This is why I gave this book 3*I read Torn and seduced first and I really didn't think Anjasa had much character growth there but in this book she definitely comes into her own. She is trying to take control of her life and her cravings but is she just trading one bad habit for another?Anjasa is a promiscuous little elf and indulges in some pretty hot love scenes. The one with Luscous is especially interesting and a first for me I certainly hope it is not my last ;)This book introduces us to a few new very interesting characters. I am curious to see how they all come together in the next book. Yes I want to know what happens next! By the end of this book I no longer new who were the good guys and who were the bad guys. To many things left hanging and I hate not knowing!I received ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Luscius Shows His True ColoursIn book 2 of this trilogy, Anjasa’s brothel is seized by Luscius’ Order in an attempt to instigate a crackdown on vampires and those tainted by them. During this attack, Luscius seduces Anjasa and then holds her prisoner on the pretext of protecting her. Anjasa’s escape is unbeknown to Jaral, so when he attempts a rescue he is hunted down by Luscius. Although Luscius’ magic illusions confuse Anjasa she is finally able to protect Jaral, but knows it will not be the last she will see of Luscius. Again a very good storyline and interest is peaked. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Received for a honest reviewHoly Cow!!! Anjasa is now the owner a successful business and is finally finding her place in the world. Her world comes crashing down when she meets Luscuis. Anj is stronger than ever and making life manageable for the undesirables. I love her passionOf course the men in her life are incredible. While the characters are all broken in some fashion they come together to make an incredible family. Erotic and fantastic. Great read
