    * ARC provided by author as an exchange for honest review *My Natalie and Nolan:"I cherish the moments that I'm away from you nowYou miss what you had; you crave what you've lostI seriously should just take a bowBecause I took this pain like a a conqueror.Like a boss."Natalie's life is all planned out - marriage, kids and growing old with her perfect boyfriend of 4 years. But after she finds him cheating on her during graduation party, her life is shattered and she vows to herself to never fall in love again. She comes to Miami to forget but she meets beautiful boy who makes her speechless. Nolan is sweet, sexy and wants more than just one-night-stand - exactly what Natalie doesn't want or need at the moment. Will she be able to resist him???I am sorry to say that I never ended up loving Natalie. She was not a bad character, I just could not connect with her properly. I could understand that she was hurt and insecure after being cheated on but I never really got her way of thinking. Often, her behaviour was highly immature, on the verge of annoyance, especially her constant comparing Nolan with her ex-boyfriend. Nolan was persistent, I give him that. He was very understanding and patient. And sexy as hell. Ideal boyfriend material, right? But after he revealed something from his past, I did not know what to think about him and he kind of lost his appeal for me at that point. Moreover, romance did not really worked for me in this book. It was rushed, with definitely wrong reasons behind it. Nolan wanted Natalie because he hoped she would change him and Natalie was with Nolan because he kept her mind from her ex-boyfriend. Not very romantic, right? Fortunatelly, after unconvincing first half, second half of this story got better a litlle bit. I never loved it, especially because whole book concentrated too much on topic of cheating and it's just not my favourite topic to read about. But I have to admit that sex scenes were extremely hot without being too graphic and I enjoyed reading them. Just beware, Hard To Resist is NOT a stand-alone. MORE REVIEWS ON MY BLOG

I think what i didnt like about this book was how up and down it was. One minute theyd be all happy and sappy and giggly and in love (cringe) and then without any warning theyll be yelling at each other and thinking theyll be breaking up. Bryson is an actual Shit Bag (to those who have read it, you like what i did there?). I was just getting agitated when Natalie tried to confront him and:1. One minute he was like "OH I LOVE YOU!!! I WANT YOU BACK"... yeah that would have worked Bryson (stupid name by the way, no offense to those of you called Bryson) if you hadnt cheated on her for years, used her for rumpy pumpy and then had sex with Natalie's arch-enemy mere seconds before!! THAT BACK FIRED DIDNT IT ASS HOLE!2. He tried to turn it back on Natalie and then tried to control her. UGH! MAN UP DUDE!! just because she's not wrapped around your finger anymore doesnt mean you have to scowl, and throw a tantrum and storm off like a four year old. I actually wanted to climb inside of my Kindle (whose name is Alice) and punch him. Repeatedly. And finally...3. Natalie. Dear sweet Natalie. Dear Sweet Natalie who has no backbone and is just generally annoying. Throughout it she's like, "Oh! I MOVED TO GET AWAY FROM MY CHEATING EX BECAUSE I HATE HIM EVEN THOUGH I SECRETLY DONT BUT I WANT TO SO I CONTINUOUSLY LIE TO MYSELF!! I THINK I'LL GO CONFRONT HIM AND THEN BREAK DOWN IMMEDIATELY WHEN I SEE HIM SO THAT I LOOK EVEN MORE PATHETIC!! AND THEN MAYBE JUST MAYBE I'LL ALSO GET ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS I ASKED BUT THEN DONT WANT TO KNOW THEM AND CONTINUE TO BE HUNG UP ON HIM!" God, She pisses me off.And then theres Nolan. Usually when I read a book i immediately crush on the guy that the girl will end up with. THAT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME... except with Nolan. Maybe it was his name (again no offense to people called Nolan) or how he was kind of pushy i dont know i just wasnt feeling it. That was actually really disappointing. The purpose of reading is to find fictional man candy!!I also think that giving up on love because you were cheated on and refuse to give anyone else a chance even though theyre blatantly not the same person and then never let them in is just stupid and extreme. *cough*Natalie*cough*

Oh....where to begin. I absolutely loved this book. The story line was very interesting and kept me captivated to the very end. I love the author's writing style because it is very easy to read and flows across the pages. The characters were well described and I could actually see them clearly in my mind when I was reading them. Wonderful story.I think the majority of everyone has had their heart broken at some point in their life. For Natalie it happened to her by the one guy she thought she was in love with. Needless to say we all deal with heartbreak in our own ways. Natalie decides to then leave her homelife problems behind her and move to Miami to live with a close friend. Burned by her past lover, Natalie has closed off her heart in hopes of keeping it protected. She does well with the walls around her heart until the seductive and passionate Nolan charges into her life. Nolan has been burned before by women and seeks to change his life and settle down. His eyes have fallen on Natalie and ever since then he has fallen under her spell. He will do anything possible to break down Natalie's barriers and claim her for his own. Will Natalie be able to let the walls down and fall for Nolan? How hard will Nolan fight for her heart? I loved this book and it is one book that I find is Hard to Resist reading.

Okay, I HATE leaving bad reviews so I am going to try and make this as painless as possible for the author. Normally on low rated books I don't leave a review, but kind of feel like I have to. But, then again, who am I? I am just a reader and have never even tried to write a book. I will write the rest in a spoiler, because I don't want to give anything away.(view spoiler)[First, I am sorry, but this just did not work for me AT ALL. The H was so over the top. What he said the first night together "I feel something more with you" and you literally JUST met that night. Ummm...I would have taken off and run away. Too soon, Nolan. Too soon. The insta-love thing here did not work. THAT's where I knew this book took a turn for the worse. Then there's Natalie. Holy smokes the girl has issues. It's a high school boyfriend. Give me a break you're 19, not 40. You still have the rest of your life ahead of you. He broke your heart, suck it up and get over it. It's high school. You moped around for a month then moved. Start fresh. Leave it behind you. The CONSTANT comparing and remembering was annoying. Not only to me, but I was annoyed for Nolan. So over dramatic. Then Nolan drops a bomb that he's a cheater. RUN Natalie and don't look back. Once a cheater always a cheater. Stupid girl. Natalie doesn't open up and talk to Nolan which pisses me off too. Why not just tell him that you got your heart broken by Bryson the cheater. THEN you can tell him that he's in Miami with his BFF and new girlfriend wanting you back. It's not that hard to say. You would want him to be honest with you. It works both ways. Oh and let's not forget Natalie trying to give Harper dating advice. SHOOT ME NOW! Natalie was always talking about falling when her and Nolan went out twice and she says she'll have no choice but to fall? Umm...really? Why? If it's because he's a good guy then good for you. If he's a jackass then you won't fall for him. I don't understand that logic of not having a choice. The poems. Yeah, they didn't work. Immature writing, but then again Natalie is VERY immature. I kept waiting for her to grow up, but it never happened.Nolan has a sick mom so he needs to leave for CA. Their relationship is new and he's an admitted cheater. Either you want to be with him or you don't. You have nothing in FL keeping you there except for Harper. You can go to school anywhere. Go with him to CA! If you really want to see if it can work, go with him. No, the dummy stays. Set up for the next book, which I won't be reading (or if I do, I'll wait a really long time). The stuff Bryson said to her at Starbucks was laughable. SERIOUSLY. I was cracking up. As an athlete he had no choice, he's a guy and Sara just happened to suck on his dick so he wasn't going to turn her down. Oh man. He's 19, not 12.Speaking of 12, freshman having sex? Yeah, not cool. This book was bad before then throw in young teenage sex. I REALLY hope that in the 2nd book Natalie grows up and starts acting her age. I hope there's no high school drama. I hope she really forgets about Bryson. I hope she starts talking and just not about how much she loves Nolan. I hope her writing improves.(hide spoiler)]Only hope the 2nd book is better.

Before I start my review of Hard to Resist - I first have to say how PROUD I am of Shanora and how far she has come with her writing. She's truly one of the most versatile writers that I've come across during my reading journey in the past year or so.Now, the review....Can we say, OH MY WOW!!??!! Not only has Shanora given us great characters and beautiful words....but this one has SEX!! And, my gosh, this work is HOT!! I think it's really important though, when an author is writing a story that has some hotness to it, that there's still a meaningful story behind it. Hard to Resist is a story about Natalie Carmichael...and her process of healing after having her heart broken in two. To start new and in hopes to escape the heartache - she leaves and moves to Miami to be with an old friend, Harper. Very soon into the story we are introduced in a very indirect way to Nolan Young....the object of Natalie's affection throughout the book. And let me tell you - WOW!! YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!! This guys has sexy written all over him. From the way he dresses, the way he walks....and definitely the way he talks to Natalie. There were more than several instances of my blushing after reading something that Nolan said. The Steak-n-Shake scene - one of the best one liners EVER!!!As usual, Shanora dazzles us with her vivid and colorful descriptions of everything from the scenery to the smells and textures of the things her characters interact with. The intimate scenes between Natalie and Nolan are super intense. In every way that you can imagine them to be. This was a book that I was glad I was reading at home in the comforts of my livingroom....whew....just sayin'.....And by the end, Shanora had me in tears....I would love to see where this crazy love between Harper and Nolan goes....hoping for a sequel (wink wink nudge nudge)A definite must read...if you're into writers like M. Leighton, Abbi Glines, and Jessica're going to love this me!!!

Okay I am going to try and do this book justice. I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book to give my honest opinion and my honest opinion is that I fell in love from the first page. The book covers everything from first love, heartache, betrayal, new loves, new feelings, happiness, sadness, and moving on. I fell in love with Natalie "aka Bunny" and Nolan from the start. I can't go into too much I don't want to give anything away but this book has it all! The passion and intensity that Nolan has for Natalie is minding blowing and he will stop at nothing to win her heart and help her shattered heart heal. From day one he knew there was something about her that would "fix" him and his past and from day one Natalie knew there was something about him that she had to stay away from because her heart was already shattered and she knew it wouldn't survive Nolan. After running into each other on numerous occasions they knew that both were just too Hard to Resist...

3.5 StarsClutching the door knob, I stared in horror while chocking on my next breath and wishing that I had never gone upstairs. My hands began to tremble but I couldn’t pull my sight away from it.Natalie Carmichael was loving life. Just graduating from high school, she and her best friend are off to a party, a party that ends up changing her life forever. Natalie’s world crumbles down when she catches her boyfriend Bryson, of four years cheating on her with her mortal enemy. Shocked, crushed and broken hearted, Natalie decides she needs a fresh start. She packs up her belongings and heads to Miami to live with her best friend Harper. Aside from her writing poetry which helps her deal with her feelings, Natalie feels Miami will help her get over everything. What Nat wasn’t ready for was Nolan Young.“One chance, Natalie. That is all I ask for. If you don’t like it, then I’ll leave you alone for good because at least I had the opportunity of getting to know you.”“It’s obvious that I want you and I find it beyond obvious that you want me. You can only resist my offer for so long. I want you to fall for me, just like I want to fall for you. I can already feel it happening. I want to change.”Nolan Young is gorgeous, with his perfectly chiseled face, his grey eyes and dark brown hair, dazzling smile and perfect body. He also has a past, he has openly admitted to picking up a lot of women. He has admitted to having his heart broken so bad the he ends up hurting women in his relationships before they have a chance to hurt him, he admits to being just like Bryson.Natalie is conflicted, the chemistry they share is definitely obvious but she is scared. Nolan is like Bryson and Natalie know her heart can’t suffer another blow. Nolan as determined as he is wiggles his way into Nat’s life and into her heart. Together they learn to love and to trust again and that what they share together is definitely hard to resist!Shanora Williams wrote a fantastic love story. You could relate to her characters. You felt the emotions of betrayal, hurt, lust and love. A must read! Nolan is totally swoon worthy, definite book boyfriend material.

Natalie is starting over. She has moved to Florida to start a new life and escape the fact that her longtime boyfriend Bryson broke her heart by cheating on her. She is having trouble letting go. She is not looking for love or a relationship, just fun and freedom. For a very long time, I knew that my heart would remain shattered. And for a very long time, I was going to stay clear of falling in love.Nolan...They had an interesting first meeting. I do not think I have read a meeting like that in any other book. I liked how he was hard for Nat to shake and just kept appearing. Nolan is charismatic, confident, charming, funny, and not afraid to go after what he wants. They have immediate chemistry. And Natalie is determined she does not have more to give. I loved how he pushed Natalie and how he was initially the restrained one. "I take it that someone has hurt you before. That's the only reason that a girl would want "just sex". If she's been hurt or if she's a prostitute..."Which one are you, Natalie?""But with that, there comes a price. If I give you more right now, I'll possibly have to give you my heart and when I do, I won't feel free anymore."Natalie's continued depression and obsession over Bryson was annoying at times, but realistic behavior for a girl who was cheated on. A typical response is to build a wall. Nolan just chipped away at it mercilessly. He is pushy and funny and you cannot help but like him. I know you're not stupid. If you were, those panties would have been mine already.""Agree to go on a real date with me tomorrow and I'll take things slowly, otherwise I'll show up at your doorstep every day and drag you out myself. If I have to, I'll come in with you. I'll do anything to get to know you--anything to know what really goes on in that head of yours."So they are at odds at what each of them thinks they want and thinks they need. It takes them a bit to get on the same page between having more of a relationship and having sex. But they had steamy chemistry, and eventually lots of hot sex scenes including some public displays. There are communication issues, omissions, half truths, exes, old friends, and minor drama that interfere in their relationship. They were not the most adept at communication and sometimes I just wanted to slap some sense into them. But they were able to express themselves a little more with her poetry and his songs. Some of the more emotional sharing came out of those. I would have liked to have alternating POVs just to get more into Nolan's head, but at least he was vocal enough that you had insight into his feelings. Sometimes he was too vocal and I thought he would chase her farther away if he did not stop admitting his faults and past indiscretions. But he wanted to change just as much as Natalie needed change. "It's obvious that I want you and I find it beyond obvious that you want me. You can only resist my offer fro so long. I want you to fall for me, just like I want to fall for you. I can already feel it happening I want to change.""I don't want to be on the list of your regrets. I want to be the good guy. What can I say?"I liked how both characters faced their past issues and insecurities and attempted to build a healthier future. It was a story of learning to let go, having faith, opening up, and taking a chance with your heart. This couple's story is not completely finished, but Shanora is working on book 2 so we will get to see more from our couple then. I am looking forward to their continued relationship and more from her wild friend Harper and his hot surfer friend Dawson who had equally challenging pasts to deal with. And I think we will get to know his brother Mills more too in the future.Note the author made some changes in the book since the ARC that are not reflected in my review. Thanks to Shanora Williams for the ARC and opportunity to read and review her book.

First of all I want to say THANK YOU SHANORA for giving away an ARC of this book. Lucky ME, I was one of the 2 chosen!! Yay! ;) As soon as I received it I told her that I would put on hold what I was reading to start on this book. even though she said I didn't have to, I felt that as a thank you to her for giving me this opportunity!! I'm so glad that I did! I couldn't put it down! This is the first book I've ever read of Shanora's (I have Obtained waiting for me, but haven't started it yet), so I didn't know what to expect. Natalie Carmichael just graduated HS, has a great friends and a perfect boyfriend that she's been with since her freshman year. The guy that she thought would be her forever....until that one night that shatters her world and her heart! Looking for an escape she decides to leave it behind, she packs up her car and heads to Miami to live with her friend Harper. She's looking to start over and have fun, and in the process hopes to heal her broken heart. She decided that she is done with LOVE, until she literally runs into Nolan Young with her car! The attraction between them is instantaneous! Nolan Young is gorgeous with his perfect smile, perfect chiseled abs and beautiful grey eyes... He knows what he wants. And what he wants is Natalie. But will his own problems in the past come between them or send Natalie running? Especially as he finds out why she's so guarded with her heart in the first place... Or will they be ones to heal one another? The chemistry between Natalie & Nolan Is crazy. One of my favorite scenes is on their first date @ the Steak-n-Shake, had my mouth open and reading it over again just to make sure i read it right!! And the sex scenes... Pretty HOT! Thank my lucky stars I was reading comfortably in my own room so that people aren't looking at me like I'm crazy, wondering what the hell I'm smiling about! Haha I loved this book and hope that Shanora will write another one so that we can follow in Natalie and Nolan's story. I want to see what happens next between them, if they can survive what happens next... THANK YOU AGAIN SHANORA!! If you're waiting for this book, it's worth the wait, so when it comes out go out and buy it! It really is HARD TO RESIST!!! <3

Natalie Carmichael is having trouble letting go of her past relationship with Bryson. Now she wants to start over, and she decides to move away. She moves thinking she will get over Bryson and start a new life and enjoy it. She decides to take a break from relationships and love, until she meets Nolan Young.“It’s obvious that I want you and I find it beyond obvious that you want me. You can only resist my offer for so long. I want you to fall for me, just like I want to fall for you. I can already feel it happening. I want to change.” The sexual tensions grows with every page between these two. Natalie doesn't know how to love anymore because of what her ex high school sweetheart did, but Nolan is patient and he teaches her new things. She still stays on guard, expecting the worst. What she doesn't realize is he isn't that player anymore and he wants her for the long haul. Natalie learns to fall in love again. To realize the relationship she had before was nothing that could compare to what she has with Nolan. But it takes a while for her to realize all this things, and a lot of headaches. Hard to resist is a book that will touch every emotion is you, and make you connect and feel Natalie’s pain throw the pages. Shanora Williams book made me angry and shocked a few times during my reading, because it described perfectly the way Natalie and Nolan were feeling. Just when I believed everything was going to be alright in Nolan and Natalie's world, the level of angst increased. I didn't know what to believe at some point."You won't be happy with your prideYou won't be happy without loveYou won't be smiling without a heartYou won't feel as free as a dove."The development of both the story and characters is impressive, as I was able to watch both characters grow and change over time. I would love to see what is next for Nolan and Natalie. I could go on and on about how amazing this book is but you just have to experience it yourself because it is so worth it! It's a really good book. You won't regret reading it!

A quick over view is that Natalie gets cheated on by Bryson the person she thought she would spend forever with. She finishes school and then moves to Miami Florida with a friend. She meets this extremely mouth watering man named Nolan. He has this different kind of attitudes about things. Come to find out he has a very shady past and natty is not sure she can cope with that after just being cheated on by Bryson the scum bag. She does her best to resist him but there is a strong attraction. As we all know its a powerful thing. If she gives in she just might find her forever or she will find the one that will completely shatter her heart forever. As always Shanora does it again. She captured my attention from the start a never let it go. I read this book in 8 hrs straight. I stayed up until 5am reading it. It made me laugh so hard at some of the things that were said. I cried at some points and was cheering her on at others. Oh an the sex is just plain HOT!!! It's a really good book. U won't regret reading it! I think the release date has been moved to March! Happy reading and enjoy its worth it.

I recieved a ARC copy of this book for my honest review. This was a great read. Lots of steamy scenes and you just have to LOVE Nolan. Definitely a book that will have your emotions all over the place. I hated Bryson and while I liked Natalie I just wanted to smack her half the time. I was like girl get a freaking clue!! Great writing and a great flow to this whole story. Would definitely recommend to people to read this one! Thanks for the great read :)

"Just when I thought that he would be completely hard to keep a hold of—just when I thought that he would shatter me even more than my past had—he’s actually made me better. This love was hard to control. This love was hard to keep hidden. This love was hard to go through with. But this love was going to happen one way or another because it was completely and utterly hard to resist"

Hard to Resist is about new beginnings, a fresh start, a second chance at love; and Shanora Williams has delivered the ideal novel depicting just that. From the pain-filled poetry and loving lyrics, Hard to Resist is sure to touch your heart if you have ever been hurt in love.Natalie is an very mature young woman at only 19 years old. She and Bryson had been together since their 9th grade year in high school, and she was head over heels in love with him. But everything changed on the night of her high school graduation. Her heart was not just broken, it was shattered. Not only does she find herself dealing with Bryson's supreme betrayal, but she is also dealing with her parents' failing marriage. There is nothing left to do except to run far away from all of the pain and hurt to Miami to live with her childhood friend, Harper. Upon her arrival in Miami, while driving and talking on her cell phone, she almost runs over a pedestrian, Nolan Young. Expecting his wrath for almost being killed from her carelessness, Natalie is shocked when Nolan expresses concern for her well-being. She is further surprised when he simply grins and accepts blame, laughing off the near accident. Later that evening, Harper takes Natalie to one of Miami's hottest clubs to celebrate her move, and who should Natalie see? The devastatingly handsome, Nolan.Nolan is everything a woman wants in a man. He's handsome, smooth, talented, confident, patient, and supportive; but he's not without his own demons to slay. Nolan moved across the country to Miami to escape his own hurt from his mother. He's had plenty of relationships in the past, but he always manages to screw them up, but when he meets Natalie, he wants her and puts forth every effort to win her over. Of course, Natalie wants nothing to do with him. That is until she realizes he might be the distraction she needs to help her forget about Bryson and his betrayal."I'm broken and I refuse to be healed anytime soon. I can heal myself if I just do what Harper is doing. If I just go out, party, get drunk, then I'll forget." ~ NatalieUnfortunately, her plans are thwarted by Nolan. She never expects him to be the nice guy. She never expects him to try and win her heart. She never expects him to refuse her offer of a one-night stand. He is a man, after all. He wants her, but he wants all of her. He wants the good with the bad; he wants to know all of Natalie. He simply wants her to share herself with him. He knows she will regret any one-night stand."I don't want to be on the list of your regrets. I want to be the good guy." ~ NolanBoth Natalie and Nolan are dreamer chasers. Both are artists. She is a poet who writes of pain. He's a singer-song writer who writes about soul stealing and heartbreaking. He is just the type of man who can trample her already broken heart, and she is just the type of woman he needs to make him a changed and better man. Together, they are perfect as they support each other on their journey to learn what love really is, while they bury the past together.Hard to Resist is a book that will touch almost every emotion. Shanora Williams has managed to make me feel Natalie's pain and hurt. I was angry and shocked a few times during my reading, as the author managed to take me even deeper into Natalie's character. Just when I believed everything was going to be alright in Nolan and Natalie's world, the level of angst increased. Not only does Natalie's past follow and confront her, but Nolan delivers a blow that is never expected. The development of both the story and characters is impressive, as I was able to watch both Nolan's and Natalie's characters grow and change over time. I had a front row seat to witness Natalie and Nolan heal and discover how love should be. The flashbacks provided during the story are very well done and serve to help the reader identify with Natalie's past even more, while gradually unveiling Natalie's awareness of the true nature of her relationship with Bryson. Although this story has a somewhat happy every after, there is still room for a angst-filled sequel to Hard to Resist, which I desperately hope the author will consider in the near future. I would love to see what is next for Nolan and Natalie."You won't be happy with your prideYou won't be happy without loveYou won't be smiling without a heartYou won't feel as free as a dove"Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Blurb:Natalie Carmichael thought that Bryson Daniels would be her world. She planned a bright future with him, cherished four years with him, and couldn't have been any happier, but during graduation night, all of that changes.Natalie walks in on Bryson cheating on her. One month after catching him in the act, she finally decides to make an escape by leaving for Florida. She wants to start over, have fun, and be free while also finding a way to mend her broken heart but when she meets Nolan Young, her single-life escapade doesn't last for very long. She tries to stay clear of Nolan and his desires but it's impossible for her. Nolan will do everything that he can to have her as his own, but will Natalie accept Nolan along with the problems of his past? Will she let someone else into her heart that may be even worse than Bryson? For Natalie, Nolan will be something completely new to her. And for them both, their desires will be completely hard to resistREVIEW:I have been falling in love with the New Adult genre. It still has the feel of YA, yet it had more excitement. Shanora Williams is very talented, even since I read her debut YA novel Helena Zane Sacred angel, I have fallen in love with her writing. Hard to Resist wasn't any different, with love in all the chaotic places. I fell hard, and it was hard for me to resist the appeal Nolan gave off. It seems like the more this author writes the greater the story gets. Hard to Resist is a story all who have been in love will be able to relate to. To love and lose is one of the hardest things to get through, and to try and move on with someone else is even harder. What Natalie endured would have been hard on any girl her age, and I cried with her and for her.Nolan and all his playboy ways, I wanted to be the one who transformed him into a good boy(Evil grin) lol, no! I really like me some bad boys. He was trying to reform himself and I respected him for his honesty. There is nothing sexier then a man who knows what he wants out of life, and telling the truth. (Is that not a pantie dropper). Confidence is key with men or women, and second chances are beautiful.I gave this book five stars ***** as a couple I was rooting for Natalie and Nolan. I wanted them to get through any obstacle in their way. And the end of this book!!!! WOW, I screamed, thinking damn it I have to wait for book two. Is there any other way to start love? Natalie had a crazy BFF Harper, who made the story more interesting with her wit and humor. I simply loved her character. And to have them both going through things together, it added a touch of reality. Having these characters pop out . It made me feel like I knew them. Shanora had a gift with writing and I see her going far. I can't wait to walk in big selling book stores and see her books on their shelves.CHARACTERS:Natalie: She moved to Florida to get away from the pain, to get away from all the memories she shared with her now ex Bryson (jackass). Moving in with Harper was suppose to be her fresh start. She was going to Wild out and party, it was what girls her age did. Whatever Natalie thought she was going to be doing down there was the opposite. She ended up meeting sexy ass Nolan and her plans changed. :) ^Good God! Nolan: Natalie was beautiful, and everything he needed to stay away from. Love was something Nolan didn't do. Getting screwed over before, his heart was no longer up for grabs. Natalie with all her feistiness and smart mouth intrigued Nolan making him give into the urge that was Natalie. Harper: I fudging loved her! She was so funny and there were parts I wanted to tell her, DO IT HARPER! I wanted to be there with them supporting her. She added the most pleasant twist in the story and I was rooting for her and Dawson also.

Oooookay, THAT was good. Seriously good.Their sex was super verbal, which I happen to greatly enjoy.Natalie leaves Charleston, SC (what what! shout out to my home town!!) to spend the summer in Miami with one of her oldest girl friends. She just needs to get away from her shitty shitty shitty shitty ex boyfriend. Cheaters, I forever loathe thee.So when she gets there, she almost runs over this hottie, Nolan. And then runs into him that exact same night, because of course she'd be that lucky. Saying that her guard is up is a SERIOUS understatement. This girl is not having it. What she does want though, is a little drunk sex with a stranger. But right from the start Nolan knows he wants more from her.His past clashes seriously with what she's looking for in her future. He's practically cheated on every girl he's dated and she just got her heart broken by some douchehole doing that very thing to her. But thank God she lets him in a little bit and agrees to see where things go!Then, said douchehole decides he's going to come to Miami for a summer trip with his friends, even though he clearly just wants to run into Natalie. He brings his slutty comrad, Sara. I could just see her bitch face in my mind and I hated her skank ass too. So of course they all run into each other. But have no fear, she makes Sara jealous by showing off Nolan's sweet ass and she doesn't give in to douchehole's advances. Yeah, he doesn't even get a name in my review. I seriously despised him and the reasons he gave for cheating on her when she finally decides to confront him to heal herself. Like, good God he's just an idiot. IDIOT.Natalie is so strong in the end, which made me really happy and proud of her.She waved bye to her haters!Ditched the zero and got with the hero? You get the point.THAT ENDING. THE SECOND BOOK COMING OUT. HIS PAST. ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN!I pray the second book doesn't make me hate Nola, because I wouldn't forgive him if he screwed up.

*ARC Review* My latest book read is Hard to Resist By Shanora Williams. I really think this book had everything I was looking for. It covered everything from a broken heart to finding love again to really discovering the courage to chase your dreams. In the beginning of this book we meet Natalie who has just caught her boyfriend cheating on her. She is devistated and she decides to move to Miami with her friend Harper. She just wants to get away from what her life has become. The first day she arrives she runs into Nolan. She literally almost runs the guy over. The same night she runs into him again and clearly there is an attraction. Natalie is no where near ready for anything serious. Nolan keeps trying to convince her that what they could have is the real deal. After fighting to keep their relationship as far away from her heart as possible, she finally decides to give him a chance. They both have similar pasts. Two people with broken hearts trying to start over again. They give one another a clean slate. Then of course that's when Bryson trys to sneak back into her life and she is more confused then ever. I would like to say that I had a hard time putting this book down. I enjoyed the love and passion between Natalie and Nolan. I love reading stories about two people clearly meant for on another. Natalie and Nolan were no exception. After she decided to give him a real honest chance is when the book took off for me. The journey of self discovery tugged at my heart strings. They end up chasing their dreams together. It was just perfect. With every relationship there are bridges to be crossed. In the end dealing with things that are out of your control make you stronger. Finding happieness was the main theme in this book. Such a wonderful story of self discovery. This was my kind of book. A perfect read. I will be watching to see how this book takes off. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be a bestseller. Can't wait to find out what happens with Natalie and Nolan. Yes, That means sequel. How I love a good sequel!

It is official. I am addicted to this New Adult genre. And this book is yet another amazing addition to the list of “college age” contemporary romances that have me swooning! Natalie Carmichael has loved one boy all through high school and truly believes he will be her happily ever after. That is until she finds him with another girl on graduation night. In an attempt to escape the pain that her cheating boyfriend has caused, Natalie moves to Florida to start over and heal with the help of her equally damaged friend Harper. Love is the last thing on Natalie’s mind. A little fun and maybe a one night stand with the irresistible Nolan Young is another story. Only Nolan is much more than Natalie bargained for. He wants more.First of all, let me say this about this book. Holy Swoon!!! It is definitely for a more mature YA or NA audience, but I loved it. Nolan and Natalie have an undeniable chemistry that steamed up my Kindle screen any time they were in the same room. I loved Natalie’s progression throughout the book, not only healing, but her journey to understand that the relationship she’d been in for four years was unhealthy. I felt as if you really got to see her transformation from broken young girl to strong young woman. As screwed up as Nolan was. I fell in love with him too. He’s a major playboy, but it was so sweet to watch him fall for Natalie despite his hang ups with commitment. I loved their dynamic and the tension between them.Shanora Williams definitely has a talent for creating real memorable characters and a story that grabs hold and doesn’t let you go. This one kept me up into the wee hours of the morning when I should have been in bed. I rate this one a big five stars. A must read for fans of the New Adult genre or anyone that needs to add a little “swoon” to their reading diet. Loved it!

I can't even put into words how much I loved this book! Hands down the best Shanora Williams book so far! I can't fault it at all! Everyone needs to read it as soon as it comes out! This book made me shiver so much! I just got sucked right into the storyline and the characters! I honestly couldn't stop reading! The plot was quite sad to be honest with you! I think that it involved a lot of heartbreak and there were a lot of emotional scenes but there were also a lot of other amazing scenes that made me grin like an idiot! The plot development was the perfect pace! I never once lost interest and I also loved the flashback scenes! The characters were also amazing! Natalie Carmichael was the main character and I just adored her! She had been through a lot and I loved that she finally found love again and she learned to trust again! Nolan Young was the love interest of Natalie and I loved him! The man was seriously hot! I also loved that he didn't push Natalie and he let their relationship go at her pace! Natalie and Nolan as a couple were so hot! You could actually see the sparks fly when they were together! The other characters were just as amazing as Natalie and Nolan as well! The ending of this book actually made me cry! It was so emotional but it was absolutely perfect! I could go on and on about how amazing this book is but you just have to experience it yourself because it is so worth it! I also had to ask Shanora if there was going to be another book in this series and she said yes so I am seriously looking forward to reading more of Natalie and Nolan's story! The cover is seriously hot and it suits the story perfectly! Big thank you to Shanora for an ARC of Hard to Resist!

This is a ARC REVIEWFirst off i want to say i totally loved the poem and song lyrics in this book they totally fitted in with the story and actually added to the emotion of how Natalie and Nolan felt.I found myself tearing up at a few especially when Nolan sang his song.I am new to Shanora's work but i have to say i was impressed her writing style keeps you there turning the pages wanting to know what happens next. And the sex scenes are beyond Hot i was abit flustered a few times fanning myself. The old saying LOVE IS BLIND to me sums up this book and i mean that both ways good and bad and as us girls know we all go through both till we find the right one.Another thing that Shanora wrote made me think ..Why do us girls blame ourselves when something goes wrong in a relationship? Nolan oh Nolan he has his flaws but my oh my he is damn right sexy and he doesn't give up easily and yes the title of this book fits him perfectly.Natalie poor Natalie, Bryson totally ripped her heart out and what do we do when we are hurt?We tell ourselves that no one will hurt us again and thats what Natalie does she guards her heart. This story is basically about Natalie the emotions she feels, what she trys to do to get over that hurt.Finding out things about her relationship she couldn't see while she was in it,and opening her heart again to let new love in.But it doesn't run smoothly theres loads of bumps in the road to get her to her HEA.

I loved Shanora's book "Obtained" but I loved this one more. I love when Nolan and Natalie first meet:"I'm alright, I'm fine," I breathe. "I'm just glad that I didn't...tun over you." He raises both of his eyebrows. "Oh. Good." Sighing he rocks on his heels while tucking the tips of his fingers into his back pockets. "I guess I'll just be on my way then."I love Nolan's bluntness, it's truly funny, he says things that I don't even think Natalie knew what to do with. "Well, I was just hoping that you weren't a prostitute," he sighs. "I would much rather you be a brokenhearted girl than a night streaking whore. I can't get through to a hoe, but a broken heart - well those can be easily mended with time." His bluntness continued to amaze and entertain me when he picks up Natalie for their first date: "You wallet?" His eyebrows pull together. "What do you need your wallet for?" "Um, to pay for my food," I mumbled a hint of sarcasm. "I'll be damned if I let you pay for anything while you're with me. Come on." He demands, cocking his head to the right. "Nolan-" "Natalie." He raises an eyebrow as his smile fades. "I'm serious. Bring your pretty ass on."I felt the book ended to early and I also have a feeling that there will be a sequel.

My Review! 5 million stars! OMG, this book is drool worthy! I cannot begin to explain how much my stomach had butterflies for Natalie’s and Nolan’s swoon worthy relationship! This book was so spectacular I was in a reading rut for over two weeks! I had to read it again and again to get my head out of the gutter! I loved this so much that I wish I could read book two a month ago! Nolan is beyond swoon worthy and Natalie is a strong girl! Shanora has yet again shown us how amazing of a writer she is and I can’t even begin to say how amazing her books are and this one I absolutely LOVE and could read 1000 times and still love and swoon over it. I was more than lucky to be able to get a review copy of this so YES be jealous everyone!Natalie – she was a great character, she was broken hearted and still came up on top! She was stubborn and hard headed which is the same but she’s both! She is such a sweetheart and deserves love and happiness and I felt for her, I felt her pain and I’d die if I had to live through it.Nolan – GOD was this dude amazing and a douche at the same time! He was the hot trouble maker everyone wants to be with. He is so amazing and I understand why he does what he does. He could make any girl jump up and down and do whatever he wanted just for his attention and I think that is what makes him so irresistible!

I may be in the minority here, but I felt the story was a bit rushed. At times I thought the story was going up and down. I would've liked more story of Bryson and Natalie before she caught him. Nolan was fabulous! But the way they fell in love, it seemed rushed. I liked the cat and mouse game they had going, that was fun to read. When Nat finally got to speak to Bryce, I was kinda pissed he was such an ass! I felt after 4 years she deserved better than that. Nolan's decision about his mom(can't spoil it with details) was very sudden and that conversation was weird. It's like he was saying he wasn't sure about them then flipped into he had undying love for her. I have to say I was a bit confused. The ending sets up for the next book coming in November.

Sorry it didn't work for me. It was an okay read, I guess. I hate the fact that the main characters are as hot as the Sahara for each other one minute and then as cold as the North Pole the next. The constant reminder that she could not trust and love someone again after being hurt by her ex, Bryson, just got really annoying and boring for me.

*3.5 Stars*“Right then and there, I knew my heart would remain shattered and that I was never, ever going to fall in love again.”After walking in on her boyfriend of four years doing the nasty with her archenemy, Natalie Carmichael’s heart is smashed to smithereens. Bryson was supposed to be THE ONE. He was the guy she planned a future with. In the blink of an eye or the opening of a door, everything changed. Moving to Miami to escape her past seemed ideal. Never in her wildest dreams did Natalie think she would meet someone like Nolan Young. He’s gorgeous, persistent and made of everything that could potentially destroy what’s left of her heart. Nolan has a past riddled with pain. Some has been inflicted upon him and some he’s inflicted on others. Will Natalie be able to resist his charms or will Nolan be exactly what she needs to mend her heart?“I can’t gain feelings for someone else, especially for someone like Nolan. He is stunning and to catch feelings for someone like him is pretty much asking for my heart to be ripped out completely.”Hard to resist was a steamy read. Nolan and Natalie went at it like rabbits, which is pretty ironic since Nolan nicknamed his new love interest, bunny. Ha! I have to give it up to Shanora Williams. She can write some scorching sex scenes. It’s almost as though they can’t keep their hands off one another!I spent a good portion of the book extremely frustrated with Natalie. Finding your man in bed with someone you hate is horrible. I can’t even imagine having to go through something so vial and I hope I never do! With that said, her lack of self-esteem made me want to scream. It was as though she thought Bryson could do no wrong and that she HAD to have been the problem. Um, sometimes guys are just jerks! It got to the point where I wanted to make her repeat daily affirmations in the mirror! She even let it control her relationship with Nolan. She was so focused on keeping him and fearful that he would grow bored of her. There comes a point where you have to realize that you are worth the love that’s being given to you. I’m not sure if Natalie ever really reaches that point. The only area she seems to be even semi confident in is her poetry. After meeting Natalie, Nolan realizes it’s time to grow up. It’s time to settle down and really try to make a relationship work. He seems like a genuinely good guy who has made some poor choices in the past. He’s ready to change and feels Natalie is worth changing for. Now if only she could realize it too… I wish we were given more information about Nolan. I walked away from the book feeling like I don’t really know his character well. We’re given the bare minimum relating to his past. I wish there was more character development done there. I’m sure he’s more than a pretty face.“We are all destined to be with someone. We are all supposed to meet that one person that will change everything. Whether you are put though heartache, pain, or even grief, it will come.”This was my first encounter with Shanora Williams. While I enjoyed Hard to Resist, I can’t say it was everything I had hoped it would be. There was a lot less conflict/drama than I had anticipated. The other shoe just never seemed to really drop. This is only the first book in the series and based on the name of the next book, Hard to Hold On, I’ll probably be getting all the drama I craved later on. Would I recommend this book? Sure. Am I looking forward to the next one? You betcha! I have high hopes for this series and I honestly like where the story is headed. I want Natalie and Nolan to have a fighting chance. They’re good for one another. This series has a lot of potential
